12 month checkup

Rylee went to the doctor yesterday for her 12 month checkup. She is actually 13 months, but since she was in the hospital on her 12 month appointment, we had to reschedule our appointment. She weighed 25.11 pounds and is 30 inches tall. She is in the 90% for both her height and weight. She sure does love Dr. Bello, but she soes not smile so much at the nurse who gave her the FIVE vacinations!!!

Road Trip

The Plainview girls' basketball team qualified for the state tournament. These were all girls I had coached as 7th graders in pville. Mom, Rylee and I made the haul to Austin. The girls lost their first game, but do not worry, we did not waste our time in moving on to bigger and better things...like SHOPPING! We hit all the hot spots between Austin and Odessa including: San Marcos and Fredricksburg. It was a great trip for us girls!

A Night in the hospital

Rylee got the stomach flu on her actual birthday (Feb. 20). When she began refusing fluids and snacks took her in to see dr. Bello. She admitted her to the hospital for rotovirus and dehydration. She had lost over 4 pounds in 2 days (Gee, why is it not that easy for me anymore!) She stayed ovrnight in the hospital to receive fluids by IV. Not a fun night for mama!

My Baby is ONE!!!

What a great 1st birthday. We cooked out at our house and had all of our family come. My mom and dad, Shana Brandon Lauren Cole and Cade, T's mom and dad, 2 of the 3 brothers, and Emma and Evan (his neice and nephew) all made it to the center of the desert (Odessa) to help Rylee celebrate her 1st birthday. She was kind of slow digging into her cake, but once she figured out how sweet it was, there as no stopping her!
